Fast scrambling dynamics and many-body localization transition in an all-to-all disordered quantum spin model

چکیده

We study the quantum thermalization and information scrambling dynamics of an experimentally realizable spin model with homogeneous XX-type all-to-all interactions random local potentials. identify thermalization-localization transition by changing disorder strength, under a proper interaction strength. The in localization phase shows behaviors that are distinct from models. operator grows almost equally fast two phases. In thermal phase, we show is exhibited without appealing to semiclassical limit. also briefly discuss experimental realization using superconducting qubit simulators.

Diagonalization and Many-Body Localization for a Disordered Quantum Spin Chain.

We consider a weakly interacting quantum spin chain with random local interactions. We prove that many-body localization follows from a physically reasonable assumption that limits the extent of level attraction in the statistics of eigenvalues. In a Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser-style construction, a sequence of local unitary transformations is used to diagonalize the Hamiltonian by deforming the in...

Parallel Many-Body Simulations without All-to-All Communication

Simulations of interacting particles are common in science and engineering, appearing in such diverse disciplines as astrophysics, uid dynamics, molecular physics, and materials science. These simulations are often computationally intensive and so natural candidates for massively parallel computing. Many{body simulations that directly compute interactions between pairs of particles, be they sho...

Scrambling of Quantum Information in Quantum Many-Body Systems

We systematically investigate scrambling (or delocalizing) processes of quantum information encoded in quantum many-body systems by using numerical exact diagonalization. As a measure of scrambling, we adopt the tripartite mutual information (TMI) that becomes negative when quantum information is delocalized. We clarify that scrambling is an independent property of integrability of Hamiltonians...

On Many-Body Localization for Quantum Spin Chains

For a one-dimensional spin chain with random local interactions, we prove that many-body localization follows from a physically reasonable assumption that limits the amount of level attraction in the system. The construction uses a sequence of local unitary transformations to diagonalize the Hamiltonian and connect the exact many-body eigenfunctions to the original basis vectors.

Many-body localization phase transition

We use exact diagonalization to explore the many-body localization transition in a random-field spin-1/2 chain. We examine the correlations within each many-body eigenstate, looking at all high-energy states and thus effectively working at infinite temperature. For weak random field the eigenstates are thermal, as expected in this nonlocalized, “ergodic” phase. For strong random field the eigen...
